EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

Exhibit space is limited this year. We kindly ask that no more than two representatives per booth be present in the exhibit hall at any given time. You are welcome to rotate representatives in and out as needed. DISPLAYS THAT EXCEED 8X6 WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.


EXHIBIT FEE INCLUDES: One 6’ table, two chairs and electricity will be included with each booth. 2024 EXHIBITOR GUIDELINES
This reservation for exhibit space is subject to acceptance by the South Carolina Association of Counties (hereafter referred to as the Association) and upon such acceptance will constitute a contract to use the space assigned.

1. Character of Exhibits. The Association reserves the right to decline or prohibit any exhibit or part of an exhibit or restrict any activity or conduct within the exhibition area(s) which in its opinion is not suitable.


2. Payment for Space. Payment of the total rental charges for exhibit space must be received by May 1, 2024. In addition, all Partner fees must be current. You may pay with check (payable to SC Association of Counties) or credit card. No cancellation or refund can be made after May 1.


3. Exhibitor Registration. Platinum (6 booth attendees), Gold (4 booth attendees), Silver (2 booth attendees), Bronze (1 booth attendee) are included in the fees. Additional attendees are $400 per person if purchasing a booth. Please note that no more than two per booth are allowed to work at the same time.


4. Hotel Reservations. Housing reservation information will be sent mid-April. The room block is released to county officials first. Overflow accommodations are listed below. 


5. Subletting of Space. No exhibitor shall assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any part of the space purchased or permit any other party to exhibit therein without written permission from the Association.


6. Installation and Dismantling. Exhibits must be installed between the hours of 10:30am and 1:00pm on Monday. Exhibits must dismantle between 12:00 - 1:00pm on Wednesday. No early dismantling will be permitted without penalty.


7. Liability. The Association and/or the Wild Dunes Resort will not be responsible for the safety of exhibits from theft, damage, fire or other causes. The exhibitor hereby acknowledges that the Association shall have no liability, and the exhibitor shall indemnify, save and hold harmless the Association, its officers, agents and employees from and against any and all loss, liabilities, judgments and damages, and all related costs, fees and expenses, arising directly or indirectly out of or in any way connected with this exhibitor contract for space.


8. Electrical Service. 110 Volt electrical service is included with the exhibit booth fee. Any additional service will be the responsibility of the exhibitor, and arrangements must be made directly with the Wild Dunes Resort by using the enclosed form. Special connections, including extension cords, must be provided by the exhibitor.


9. Equipment and Supplies. The Association will furnish each exhibitor with a uniform, single-line sign with the exhibitor's firm thereon, and with 1 table, two chairs, piping & draping.


10. Hours and Function at Exhibits. Exhibits will not be open any other time than hours listed below.

SCAC, in cooperation with the Joseph P. Riley Jr. Center for Livable Communities, College of Charleston, will hold the Institute of Government for County Officials (Level I, Level II, and Advanced classes) Monday, July 29 and Tuesday July 30, 2024. Credit for Level II courses will be given to county officials who have graduated from Level I or are within nine hours of graduating from Level I. Each course is three credit hours. Credits for courses are valid for four years. To receive a certificate for Level I, 27 hours of instruction, including 18 hours of required and nine hours of elective topics, must be completed. Classes taken online must be completed prior to July 19 to be considered for this year’s graduation. To receive a certificate for Level II, 18 hours of instruction in Level II topics must be completed. Participants who graduate from Level I or Level II will be recognized during the General Session on Wednesday, July 31.

The Institute of Government registration fee covers the cost of coffee/beverage breaks (Monday morning/afternoon and Tuesday morning) and a boxed lunch (Monday) for Institute participants (registered guests are not included). Name badges will be required at all SCAC events and meetings.

SCAC must receive a completed registration before the Wild Dunes Resort reservation link will be sent. You must be a paid registrant to receive the discounted hotel rate.

Institute of Government registrants will receive the reservation link via email within two business days of receipt of completed registration.

The fee covers the cost of coffee/beverage breaks (Tuesday afternoon/ Wednesday morning/afternoon), Welcome Reception sponsored by The Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina (Tuesday), Legislative Power Hour breakfast (Wednesday), boxed lunch for delegates only/no spouses (Wednesday), and the 2024 Closing Reception (Wednesday) for delegates and their registered guests. However, all guests must be pre-registered in order to attend.

SCAC will host a Closing Reception on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. During the reception, SCAC President Roy Costner will speak, and there will be a short program. The registration fee includes food and drink for both the registrant and a registered guest for the evening. More details to follow.
