Job Duties:


Plans, develops, and maintains agency's public, intranet and extranet websites. Ensures positive user experiences through logical navigation, efficient functionality, design aesthetics, branding experience, messaging, site features, information architecture and landing page support. Responsible for collecting and/or writing, organizing, updating, and supervising the placement of content on LLR public and internal websites. Works closely with LLR leadership and staff to maximize Web-based opportunities. Edits and places text for OSHA, S.C. Fire Marshal, S.C. Fire Academy and S.C. Professional and Occupational Licensing. Adheres to brand and graphic standards across all sites. Evaluates and makes recommendations to improve visual human interface utilizing user-centered design principles. Monitors search engine and Google Analytics performance and recommend/develop content and link-based strategies to improve performance according to key strategic organizational goals. Ensures compliance with ADA and other regulatory requirements. Responsible for design and functionality of a newly created agency website. Designs traditional paper publications such as letterhead, posters, newsletters, reports as needed. Designs and develops new Web pages and sub-sites to meet user needs. Meets with internal departments to determine whether new pages or sub –sites are required. Helps build pages to conform to Web browsers on both Macintosh and Windows platforms to meet graphic and prevailing Web standards. Where appropriate, works with DoTS OIS programming team to help design pages. Performs testing and quality assurance as part of new web technology rollouts. Coordinates activities of the agency-wide Internet liaisons & creates, maintains and updates policies related to the liaisons responsibilities & role. Supervises assigned OIS staff. Ensures that the Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) is used as a continuous communication tool. EPMS planning stages and evaluations are completed according to our Agency EPMS policy. Uses progressive discipline policy effectively when need. Creates positive and harmonious work relationship. Develops skills of subordinate personnel. Other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications:


A bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. This position is in an office environment with long periods of sitting.
