Description & Details

Responsible for creating elections database, definition, maintain election equipment inventory in compliance with physical and cybersecurity guidelines, evaluation of polling locations for federal compliance, and participate in training and voter registration activities.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field; OR High School diploma with education and work experience necessary to perform required duties
  • Must have technical skills to prepare and troubleshoot a variety of voting equipment
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to type
  • Must have physical ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects and materials up to 75 lbs. for an extended period of time.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid SC Election Commission certification within eighteen (18) months of employment
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Previous election/voter registration experience desired



All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment.
