Description & Details
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support to countywide computer systems, to include hardware and software, e.g. desktops, tablets, mobile phones and desk phones. Monitor, control, and support IT service delivery and ensure that support systems and processes are in place. Lead service and support projects, and assist service areas to better utilize County provided technology resources. Lead the daily support tasks by supervising the Beaufort County Computer support Technicians to improve the support and user technology environment continually. Manage the end-point computing environment to ensure that laptops, PC’s, and other access devices are maintained to high standards of performance and security. Ensure that patching and antivirus updates are carried-out effectively and promptly. Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plan. Schedule installations and test system software and hardware upgrades. Provide on-call support during non-business hours on a rotating basis.

•    Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
•    A+, Network + or any combination of industry-standard IT certifications
•    Minimum five (5) years minimum experience in all phases of information technology processing to include working with Windows servers, desktops and Network and Network monitoring tools, administration of LAN/WAN systems and maintenance, hardware and software analysis, troubleshooting, support in heterogeneous computing environments and managing IT teammates
•    Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

•    Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality
•    Ability to deal with peers and management using tact and diplomacy
•    Ability to work flexible hours as required
•    Ability to troubleshoot quickly and work well under pressure
•    Experience with general productivity and utility software, including Microsoft Office, web browsers, e-mail clients, anti-virus clients
•    Experience with SCCM, MDM technologies, 0365, and windows server and desktop applications
•    In-depth understanding of IP routing, configuration, baselining, basic application writing and scripts as it pertains to application management
•    Knowledge of general wiring specifications
•    Knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems and networking protocols
•    Strong attention to detail, work ethic, integrity and positive attitude

SALARY: $70,000 DOQ
