Job Duties

  • Auditing businesses for accuracy in business information submitted on business license applications: reviewing gross income, deductions, business activity, etc. as it relates to businesses’ taxes and licenses, includes obtaining and reviewing tax documents for determining accuracy in revenue reporting by individual businesses.
  • Assisting with heavy volumes of phone calls and processing large quantities of business license applications during the spring renewal season: reviewing annual business license renewal applications and efficiently processing accurate and complete applications.  

Job Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, finance, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: two years of experience in financial audits, with the ideal candidate having experience in local government revenue-related audits and tax and regulatory requirements and laws.
  • Skills: detail-oriented with strong financial auditing skills complemented by great customer service knowledge and skills, proficient with intermediate Microsoft Excel.
