30th Annual Mid-Year Conference

The Mid-Year Conference is designed for all county officials. Its purpose is to give a briefing of legislation affecting county governments which has been or is expected to be introduced in the General Assembly. Strategies for passage of county-interest bills will be discussed. Other activities include a Delegate's Luncheon on February 15 and a Legislative Reception.

The South Carolina Association of Counties will hold its 30th Annual Mid-Year Conference for County Officials on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Embassy Suites Hotel in Columbia. Classes for the Institute of Government will be held on Thursday, February 16, the day after the Mid-Year Conference.

The Mid-Year Conference is designed for all county officials. Its purpose is to give a briefing of legislation affecting county governments which has been or is expected to be introduced in the General Assembly. Strategies for passage of county-interest bills will be discussed. Other activities include a Delegates’ Luncheon and a Legislative Reception that evening.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Pre-registration for the Mid-Year Conference is $155.00 per county delegate. The fee includes the Delegates’ Luncheon, Legislative Reception, coffee breaks and all conference materials. The deadline for pre-registration for the Conference is Friday, February 3. After that date and on-site, registration will cost $165.00.

To cancel a registration, you must contact the SCAC office in writing. Registrations canceled before Friday, February 3 will be subject to a $25.00 service charge. After 5:00 P.M. on February 3, no refunds will be made — no exceptions.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The deadline for registration is Friday, February 3.Cancellations must be made in writing. After this date and at the conference, the registration fee will be $165.00. Registrations canceled before 5:00 P.M. on February 3 will be assessed a $25.00 service charge. After February 3, no refunds will be given — no exceptions.
